The police of Untergrombach, Germany, made a gruesome discovery during a search. They found the body of Josefa, who had apparently died for five years. The woman was in her bedroom, Bild reports.

It is her only son Klaus (65) who kept her death a secret all this time. To the outside world, he claimed she had become bedridden and was taking care of her. But neighbors, who knew Josefa well, had noticed how the man always did the shopping for one person. And he never bought any care products or incontinence material.

Those neighbors had also previously given signals to the police. For example, a neighbor told me that she sometimes made a cake for Josefa, but her son rejected the gesture and said that his mother did not want to see anyone. Visit would confuse his mother, he threatened anyone who asked behind Josefa.

Now it is announced that the police invaded on June 15. They found the woman’s body in her bedroom. The woman was already in a distant state of decomposition. The windows of the bedroom therefore remained permanently open.

The son already stated that his mother died naturally. An autopsy was unable to refute that. He probably wanted to keep drawing his mother’s pension. An investigation into fraud has started. Striking: the man was not sent to the cell, he can go home again.
