Alfa Romeo made several concept cars in the 1950s. Their type designation was Alfa Romeo Berlina Aerodinamica Tecnica (BAT). Cars designed Franco Scaglione and they were made by body manufacturer Bertone.

The futuristic cars are still so much that they are sold as part of Sotheby’s modern art auction, which is rare for cars.

According to Sotheby’s, these are some of the “most impressive and memorable” cars ever designed.

All three cars are sold in one batch. The price is estimated to rise to as much as EUR 20 million.

The most expensive car ever is a Ferrari

The cars now for sale are BAT 5, 7 and 9. They were introduced to the public in 1953, 1954 and 1955.

They were once sold to various collectors, but in 1989 they were featured together at the Pebble Beach Concours d‘At the Elegance Show in California. That’s when one collector bought them all. So now he’s putting them up for sale.

The auction will be held in New York on October 28th.

However, these are not the most expensive cars ever sold. Two years ago, the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO was sold for $ 48.4 million, about $ 41 million.

That GTO won the 1962 Italian GT Championship and collected just over 15 other championships over the next three years.
