Utility assistance resource fair to offer financial aid on bills.
The Ohio Regional Sewer District is hosting a Utility Assistance Resource Fair in partnership with City of Cleveland Councilmembers Stephanie Howse and Anthony Hairston on February 4th. Eligible customers can receive financial assistance on water, sewer, gas and electric bills by signing up for various assistance programs at the fair. Programs such as the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District’s Affordability Program and Crisis Assistance Program will be available. The fair will be held at The East Professional Center and attendees are asked to bring copies of their utility bills, proof of household income, birth certificates, ID, supplemental medical insurance, social security card, and lease agreement if applicable. Councilmember Howse commented, “We are excited to partner with the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District on the Utility Assistance Resource Fair, we know that some of those in our community are experiencing financial challenges to pay their bills, so we want to provide any resource that may help.”
The Utility Assistance Resource Fair provides a great opportunity for those in the community who are struggling to pay their bills. The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District and City of Cleveland are working together to provide financial assistance to those who need it. Appointments can be made by calling 216-881-8247, and walk-ins will also be accepted. To maximize participation in as many programs as possible, attendees should bring copies of their utility bills, proof of household income, birth certificates, ID, supplemental medical insurance, social security card, and lease agreement if applicable.
