The French Ministry of Health has reported this Sunday that there are 33,050 hospitalized patients in the country due to coronavirus, an absolute record since the pandemic began, even higher than the 32,292 reported in April.

The bulletin published this Sunday also includes 27,228 new cases confirmed and 302 deaths linked to the coronavirus, bringing the country in total to 1,981,827 cases and 44,548 deaths from the virus originating in China.

In addition, it has been reported 17,390 new hospital admissions in the last seven days – 1,574 in the last 24 hours counted – and 2,761 patients in intensive care units.

“In the last three weeks we have observed a gradual slowdown and linear of the epidemic and this should continue if the measures that have been taken remain the same “, explained the head of the intensive care unit of the Ambroise-Paré de Neuill del Sena clinic, Pierre Souara, in statements to the BFM television.
