After the end of the sixth season of Formula E, the Venturi team announced the termination of cooperation with Felipe Massa. Today it became known that instead of the Brazilian veteran in the new season, the former reserve racer of the Norman NATO team will sit behind the wheel of the Venturi. The French driver will race alongside Edoardo Mortara, who has been working with Venturi since 2017.
Norman Nato: “The contract of the main pilot for the seventh season is a big step forward, and I can’t wait to show what we can achieve together. Over the past two years, we have built a solid foundation and now share a common ambition for the future.
I thank Susie Wolff and the team for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to compete in Formula E. “
Susie Wolff, Team Leader: “Our reserve rider Norman Nato demonstrated his ability at every opportunity – not only during the tests, but also on the simulator. The decision to give him the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a car in races was a consequence of his contribution to the development of the team. He deserves the opportunity to show us his driving skills. ”
