Brazilian racer Sergio Sette Camara will compete in Formula E in 2021 and will spend his first full season in the electric championship with Dragon / Penske Autosport – this is the name of this American team (formerly Geox Dragon).
Camara, 22, made his Formula E debut only last August in the Berlin series of six races, and the team was pleased with this collaboration, although he did not earn points. He also serves as the backup driver for AlphaTauri this year.
Sergio Sette Camara: “My goal is to show the best possible results in every race, to continue to gain knowledge and experience, and also to have fun working with the team. I want to grow with this team and continue the successful cooperation that began in Berlin in order to consistently compete for points in the coming season. “
Jay Penske, Team Owner and Team Leader: “In Berlin, in his first six races with our team, Sergio demonstrated what he is capable of. I was pleased with both his pace and how quickly he adapted to Formula E. I expect that thanks to the Penske EV-5 and its comprehensive modernization program, he will be able to fulfill his potential and regularly earn points. “
In 2020, Dragon did not perform well and took 11th, penultimate place in the team competition.
