Mahindra Racing has confirmed that Alexander Sims will partner next year with another British driver, Alex Lynn, who has already made his debut with the Indian team in last season’s final in Berlin.
Lynn, 27, has competed in Formula E since 2016, but he also has a wealth of endurance racing experience, and last year he won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMGTEPro category behind the wheel of an Aston Martin.
Alex Lynn: “I am very pleased to be returning to Formula E for the seventh season and will be working with Mahindra Racing. I had the opportunity to put the M7Electro to the test and we are proud of how it turned out.
We will check the full competitiveness of the team only at the first stage of the season in Santiago, but we intend to regularly fight for podiums and victories. I am fully focused on my work and intend to achieve the results our team deserves. “
Dilbag Jill, Head of Mahindra Racing: “The team worked incredibly hard developing the M7Electro; in the person of Alexander Sims and Alex Lynn we have a strong line-up, and I am confident that in the coming season we will be able to fight for the podiums ”.
