The new generation of flagships most popular in the world are already among us. For this year Apple has decided to present four models of the twelfth generation of its iPhone and, as always, technical specifications such as its RAM memory were not disclosed. But it seems that Apple iPhone 12 Pro they have 6GB of RAM.
In its latest beta of Xcode the exact amount of RAM memory of the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro y iPhone 12 Pro Max. And to everyone’s surprise, for the first time in its history an iPhone has more than 4GB of RAM. Of course, this hardware privilege was reserved for the Pro models.
The iPhone 12 Pro have increased their performance compared to the iPhone 11 Pro
The user @hirakujira of Twitter was the first to publish the results of Xcode 12.1. Thanks to them, we learned that the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini were launched with 4GB of RAM, which is the same amount of RAM with which Apple launched its iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
But this year’s Pro models have decided to bring the amount of RAM up to 6GB. For years Apple has argued that increasing the amount of RAM in its premium iPhones was not necessary thanks to the excellent value for money of its custom software.
But with the introduction of complex computing technologies such as LiDAR or ProRAW, they may have also needed to increase their RAM memory to increase the number of processes that can be executed simultaneously. And with the incorporation of new technologies we can expect that the trend of increasing the amount of RAM memory will continue.
The Apple iPhone 12 Pro have 6GB of RAM and although we are hardly going to see another jump in RAM memory for next year but it is expected that Apple will continue this trend of increase to keep up with the processing powers of the flagships from the competition.
