On Saturday morning, Shyamalan posted two photos on Twitter, announcing the title and start of filming for his new project. The film is called “Old” and is expected to be released in theaters in July next year.
“I feel like I’m living a miracle by being here and filming the first scenes of my new movie. His name is Old, ”Shyamalan said on Twitter, along with a photo of him holding a clapperboard.
In the post, Shyamalan also included the first official poster of the film, which seems to be an image of a black and white hourglass, but instead of sand there are people falling through it. “A new journey from director M. Night Shyamalan. It’s just a matter of time “is written on the poster.

Not much is known about “Old” at the moment, except for a few members of the cast, he notes Variety. Among them is Eliza Scanlen (Little Women, The Devil All the Time), Alex Wolff (Hereditary, Patriots Day) and the Mexican Gael Garcia Bernal (Dog loves, and your mom too).
Shyamalan also writes the screenplay for the film and is now on a slightly uphill slope. Although his last film, “Glass”, was not to the liking of all critics, the director was successful with the previous title, “Split”. It remains to be seen whether “Old” will be able to rise to the level imposed by Shyamalan around the 2000s.
