Tampa Bay Lightning made a clear mark on the New York Islander and took a dull 8-2 win in the first match of the Eastern Conference final series.
Brayden Point ja Yanni Gourde scored two goals in the match. Point (2 + 3) and Nikita Kutsherov (1 + 4) both forged five power points.
The spirit of the game was clear from the start, as Tampa Bay started the goal after just over a minute of playing time. Islanders Jordan Eberle brought the game to the levels, but already the opening round went to Lightning with 3-1 goals.
