Feyenoord has booked the second victory in the Eredivisie on Sunday. The team from Rotterdam won thanks to a beautiful bicycle kick from Marcos Senesi in-house after a spectacle with 4-2 from ADO Den Haag.

No Diemers and Jørgensen at Feyenoord

Feyenoord soon came to a 0-1 deficit due to a goal by Jonas Arweiler, who punished a mistake by Lutsharel Geertruida, but balanced the score before the break by a goal by Geertruida of all.

The home team took the longest after the break, although that went with some difficulty. Marcos Senesi made it 2-1 with his piece of art, but ADO also made it 2-2 via a penalty kick from Shaquille Pinas.

In the last twenty minutes, substitute Luciano Narsingh and Steven Berghuis (penalty) shot Feyenoord in a safe haven and thus prevented a new loss of points after last week’s slip against FC Twente (1-1).

Feyenoord is currently rising to third place in the ranking, two points behind the leaders Ajax and sc Heerenveen. Just like Sparta Rotterdam, RKC Waalwijk and FC Emmen, ADO is still winless.

Without the injured Mark Diemers and Nicolai Jørgensen, who dropped out in the warm-up, and with Jens Toornstra and Róbert Bozeník, Feyenoord started the match against ADO very poorly, which bravely played forward.

The visitors even took the brutal lead in the eleventh minute. Arweiler appeared after a misperception by Geertruida, who again replaced the injured Eric Botteghin in the center of the back, face to face with Justin Bijlow and pushed the ball in controlled.

Feyenoord was quite upset and escaped the 0-2. After the umpteenth loss of the ball on the Feyenoord side, Vicente Besuijen also turned up for Bijlow just like that, but he managed to save the day.

Actually, out of nowhere, Feyenoord tied the score in the 27th minute. Geertruida was allowed to head in from a corner kick from Berghuis and thus scored his first goal in the Eredivisie.
