On Thursday, Fernando Alonso worked the second and final day in Renault’s private tests in Bahrain with the 2018 car.

As on the eve, the team reported only the number of laps covered – 93. It is interesting that Fernando drove exactly the same distance yesterday.

Renault has not yet announced any further plans for Alonso’s work on the track. The team asked the rivals to give Fernando an opportunity to take part in the youth tests in Abu Dhabi, but at Racing Point, McLaren and Haas opposed.

Thus, if Renault has no plans to allow its driver to work in Friday training instead of one of the main drivers, then next time Fernando will sit behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car only in 2021 for pre-season tests.
