Britney Spears wants to get rid of her father as guardian. The singer accuses him of hiring a new manager without her knowledge.
Britney Spears (38, “Glory”) no longer wants to be under the tutelage of her father Jamie (68). In new documents, which are available to the US portal “TMZ”, the US singer accuses her father of providing her with a new manager without her knowing about it and being able to influence the decision. Business manager Michael Kane should now take care of their affairs, according to Spears. But the singer fears that Jamie Spears deliberately chose him because he has an “important working relationship” with his legal team.
According to “TMZ”, the musician now wants to submit a petition so that the Bessemer Trust Company can take care of its own affairs. In August it became known that Britney’s father would take over the guardianship of his daughter again until at least the beginning of February 2021. Spears wanted to take legal action against it. After an emotional breakdown, Spears has ceased to be in control of her own affairs since 2008. First, lawyer Andrew Wallet and her father took over the task, but gave up the guardianship, which was later taken over by Jodi Montgomery, a longtime collaborator of the singer, in 2019.
