Lewis Hamilton ran his 92nd Formula One race victory at last Sunday’s Portuguese Grand Prix, ahead of previous top holder Michael Schumacher, who has become the most successful racer in the sport.
The Mercedes-driver’s young compatriot, McLarenes Lando Norris, hadn’t fainted from Hamilton’s results after the race in Portimao, at least that’s what it looked like when asked about Hamilton’s milestone.
“I’m just happy with your success, nothing more. It means nothing to me. He sits in a car with which he should win virtually every race. You must beat one, up to two competitors. But thank you, it does its job, ”he said.
The 20-year-old Englishman now regretted the above, apologizing:
I owe an apology. I’ve been stupid and careless with some things I’ve said lately in media and interviews, and haven’t shown the respect I should have to certain people. I’m not that kind of person, so know I should apologise to them but also everyone reading/listening. Sorry

“I owe you an apology. I was foolish and irresponsible in some of my speeches, not showing enough respect for some. I’m not such a person, so I know I have to apologize to them and everyone who has read and heard them. Sorry!” He wrote on Twitter.
In addition to Hamilton, Norris’ message was certainly addressed to Lance Stroll at Racing Point, as he was a leo lioness of his Canadians in the race after an incident.
