Emily Blunt and Jamie Dornan star in the Irish-themed romantic film Wild Mountain Thyme, directed by the author of Bewitched by the Moon, starring Christopher Walken and Jon Hamm. The trailer.
Lionsgate released the trailer for Wild Mountain Thyme, a film that intrigues us very much. Meanwhile, for the cast, which includes (as you’ve never seen them before) Emily Blunt e Jamie Dornan in the role of two unfortunate lovers, with the great Christopher Walken and that joy for the eyes that it is Jon Hamm. Then for the Irish setting, with all the charm that this entails. And then, for the screenplay (taken from one of his plays in 2014) and the direction of John Patrick Shanley, which among its merits also has that of having written that little gem of romance that is the award-winning film Bewitched by the moon.
This is the official plot of Wild Mountain Thyme, whose English release date, epidemic permitting, is set for 11 December:
Wild Mountain Thyme is set in the stunning landscapes of rural Ireland, where everyone is half mad with loneliness or love and the weather is terrible. Anthony and Rosemary are two unhappy lovers, whose families are engaged in a feud over a piece of land that separates their two farms, which is hotly contested. Anthony (Jamie Dornan) seems to do nothing but work in the fields, exhausted by his father’s constant denigration (Christopher Walken). But what really hurts him is his father’s threat to bequeath the family farm to his American cousin Adam (Jon Hamm). Rosemary (Emily Blunt) at first seems to resent Anthony’s childhood teasing, but the sparks between them keep the fire burning under the ashes. His mother Aoife strives to unite families before it’s too late. Just when we think Anthony has found the courage to face his repressed feelings, cousin Adam comes up with the plan to make Rosemary fall in love by courting her in 24 magical hours in Manhattan. But true love is never defeated!
