Eight people shot, one killed in Oakland shooting; police investigate music video filming.
Oakland police confirmed that eight people were shot and one was killed in a shooting at a gas station on Seminary Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard on Monday evening. Witnesses told police that the shooting occurred during the filming of a music video. Police were notified of the shooting due to ShotSpotter activity and found evidence of multiple guns being fired from across the street.
The victim who was killed was identified as 18-year-old Mario Navarro. Relatives said he had graduated from high school last year and was a sweet person who liked music. The other seven gunshot victims are expected to survive.
