Young Ajax booked the third victory of the season in the Kitchen Champion Division against Young AZ on Friday. Despite the fact that the team from Amsterdam played in the under-game situation for a long time, the team of trainer Mitchell van der Gaag won 3-2.

Ajax’s promises team ended up with ten men halfway through the first half after Victor Jensen had to leave with a red card due to kicking afterwards. At that moment it was already 1-1 due to hits from Peer Koopmeiners (0-1) and Enric Llansana.

Brian Brobbey helped the home team to gain a lead just before half-time. Shortly after the break, he made it 3-1 from an easily given penalty. On a pass from Koopmeiners, Richonell Margaret scored the connection goal and three minutes before the end, substitute Tijmen Wildeboer seemed to make it 3-3. His volley, however, ended up on the post, allowing Young Ajax to win for the third time in seven games.

At Sportpark Zoudenbalch, NEC did manage to benefit from a long-term surplus situation. The Nijmegen team were 1-4 too strong for Jong FC Utrecht, which had to play with ten men for over an hour due to a red card for Sylian Mokono.

The exclusion of Mokono, who had to leave after two yellow cards, was due to goals from Hicham Acheffay (1-0) and Jonathan Okita 1-1. After the break, Bart van Rooij, Souffian El Karouani and Terell Ondaan helped the visitors to a big victory.

Later on Friday, FC Volendam-Jong PSV and Excelsior-MVV are also on the program in the Kitchen Champion Division.
