BEKKESTUA (VG) (Stabæk – Molde 0-3) Bodø / Glimt’s gold celebration was postponed by at least 24 hours, but Molde coach Erling Moe (50) had something to worry about when two of his players left the field with injuries – only five days before the meeting with Arsenal.
First it was Birk Risa (22) who sat down and held on to the back of his right thigh before leaving the field. Erling Moe informs VG that he thinks it is about a thigh hen and not a stretch.
Only a few minutes later, it apparently jerked behind the right thigh of Martin Bjørnbak (28), who also had to give up.
– I do not know what is the status of Martin yet. We have to wait and see what it is, says Moe to VG.
This is bad news when Arsenal visit the Europa League already on Thursday.
– I do not know how serious it is with the two, but I hope both are ready for battle by Thursday, says Stian Gregersen to VG.
The result of the charge the visit from the London team was at least nice.
– I think we have good control and make a good match, says Moe briefly and summarily about the visit to Stabæk in the very fresh winter air.
Leke James threw himself forward on the post from Birk Risa in the last minute of the first half and slid the 1-0 score behind Marcus Sandberg in the home team’s goal.
Ten minutes before full time, midfielder Stian Gregersen put in the second for the guests with a beautiful volley scoring, before James pushed in 3-0 just after.
Thus, there will be no gold celebration at the player hotel in Drammen for Bodø / Glimt – at least not on Saturday night.
Before the 25th round of the series, 18 points separated the two teams at the top. Molde had to win at Nadderud for not serving Glimt gold tonight.
