HIFK’s top promise Anton Lundellia has been booked as a first round booking at the NHL booking ceremony.

For an upcoming booking The Athletic in his article, he listed the most interesting names for the booking event and asked anonymous player observers for their opinions on each player.

For Lundell, the debate culminated in the skating of an 18-year-old striker as well as the development of offensive play.

– I think he’s the center of two top chains. His intelligence and competition are at a good level. He’s more adept than what people give to understand. Had he played in the CHL (Canadian Junior Series), he would have done rounds in the compilations, but he has been playing against the men for two years, one player observer said.

The assessment of the second player observer was quite different.

– I just can’t see his game go to the NHL. He’s the center of a triple chain, maybe even the center of a four-chain. I just don’t see speed and skill in his game.

Lundell has shown his level in the SM League over the past two seasons. In the debut season 2018–19, EPS increased its power by 9 + 10 in 38 regular season matches and 10 + 18 = 28 power points in 44 regular season matches in the last season.

He is expected to be a key player in HIFK in the coming league season.
