Two jihadists have been arrested in the cities of Melilla and Mogán (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), at dawn last Wednesday, for attracting women favorable to polygamous marriages and having children, in order to indoctrinate your children in terrorism.
Those arrested by the National Police have been charged with crimes of integration into a terrorist organization, recruitment and indoctrination for terrorist purposes. All of this based on an investigation, coordinated by the National High Court, which began when experts in the fight against terrorism detected the presence of a jihadist structure with ramifications in different countries.
The group was related to a current ideologically aligned with the terrorist organization Al Qaeda, whose final objective was “the imposition of an Islamic caliphate through combative jihad.” In this case, those investigated focused on capturing women who presented indicators of vulnerability, with little religious training, easily manipulated and influenced.
After achieving the indoctrination and incorporation of these women into their cell, they made them participants in their terrorist objective and exploited them as new recruits and as mothers of future mujahideen. All with the double intention of increasing the number of members in the group and ensuring that the descendants of the couples were perfectly indoctrinated to contribute to “spreading the true religion.”
In addition to their arrest, two searches were carried out in the homes of the detainees, where officials have intervened numerous electronic material, telephone terminals and documentation, which are being analyzed by the agents.
