Toronto Football Club officially announced the arrival of offensive midfielder Jefson Soteldo on Monday.
The 5’2” winger did not play for Brazilian club Santos FC until recently. Last Saturday, the team announced that it had not sold Soteldo’s contract to a Major League Soccer team.
In 104 games against Santos FC, Soteldo moved the strings 20 times.
Toronto Football Club general manager Ali Curtis told TSN: “He is a real sneaky player who is good at playing in tight spaces.”
“He ticked the box we were looking for among the designated players. He is an offensive player and adds a new element to the wing. Toronto Football Club chairman Bill Manning said in a statement, I Think our fans will be happy to see TFC uniforms.
The Soteldo and Garber Circuit teams now have a contract binding period of 2025. He will join his new teammate as soon as he obtains the international transfer certificate and work permit.
