With the new work and leisure routines, many people have also rethought home decor. If that was your case, know that you don’t need to make renovations or spend a lot of money to create a different space in the décor. With the tips of architect Cristiane Schiavoni, Purepeople gathered 4 ideas for you to optimize spaces and set up your corner. Know more!
1 – Working from home? Learn how to decorate the home office
If the home office is also a reality for you, having a workspace inside the home is essential to maintaining organization and productivity. In that case, choose a bright place that can be used to place a table and chair. Even with little investment, you can make your corner more beautiful with stationery items and objects that bring you joy. It is also worth investing in a notebook support, footrest and lamps, in case the work is extended.
2 – Create a reading corner to relax at the end of the day
For those who enjoy reading, the reading corner is easy to provide and prevents you from reading in bed or lying on the couch – if you’re not in the mood, of course! In this case, the architect’s tip is to bet on total comfort. “Not to mention that an environment like this is a way to stimulate reading”, he points out. For this, a small room is enough to position a comfortable armchair and lighting, which can be in the living room, balcony and even in the bedroom.
3 – Set up your own gym to move your body
Yoga, meditation, working out at home … these were some alternatives to move the body while the gyms remained closed. Even with the changes, many people enjoyed the idea of having a corner at home to do physical activity. “Following online classes, people are looking for ways to balance the mental side and distend the physical. With some choices, the corner looks like the resident”. Bet on benches, colorful pillows, rugs and objects to contextualize the proposal. If you have specific equipment, chests help keep them safe and protected.
4 – The bar corner is cool and simple to set up
There are people who love to receive people at home or even enjoy their own company with a good drink. For Cristiane, the space needs to be practical, taking into account the need and the available area, which in general is not usually very large. For the corner of the bar, a piece of furniture or a niche to accommodate bowls and accessories is welcome. “A tray with other varied drinks also goes very well,” says the professional. Don’t forget to give your touch with decorative objects!
