Irishman Dan Martin (Israel Start Up Nation) won the third stage of the Tour of Spain, disputed between Lodosa and La Laguna Negra-Vinuesa, with a route of 166.1 kilometers, at the top of which is Primoz Roglic (Jumbo Visma) retained the leader’s red jersey.
Dan Martin, 34, attacked 100 meters from the top of the Black Lagoon, where he achieved his first stage in the Vuelta, ahead of Roglic and the Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz (Ineos).
In the last pull, the Spanish Enric Mas (Movistar) could not follow Martin’s acceleration and lost 9 seconds at the finish line. He is fourth overall, 32 seconds behind Roglic. The second place is Dan Martin, 5 seconds and third Carapaz, a 13.
The fourth stage will be played this Friday between Garray Numancia and Ejea de los Caballeros, 191.7 kilometers.
