The Dallas Stars were left without a complete end to their fall rush. The team battled their way to the Stanley Cup finals, but the Tampa Bay Lightning was ultimately too hard a piece.

Lightning won the sixth final early Tuesday morning 2-0 and celebrated the championship.

Captain Stars, who hunted for the first championship of his career Jamie Benn, 31, arrived at the press conference after the match. The shocking disappointment was conveyed by all the gestures of the bearded skipper.

– This is deep. We’ve experienced a lot with this group, Benn started and fell silent.

The silence lasted a long time, as Benn could not answer the next question at all, which was heard remotely at the event.

The Athletic reporter then asked if Benn could still sum up the Dallas playoff crunch at all at this point.

– It was a good performance. It’s pretty hard right now. We were two games away from the championship, Benn said.

The picture moved back to the Sportsnet studio, the presenter of which concisely stated that Benn’s interview was “heartbreaking”.
