The rift between Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump occurred during the US presidential campaign four years ago. In 2016, Chelsea’s mother, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, was defeated by billionaire Donald Trump at the end of an extremely tough campaign that fragmented America.
In an interview with Watch What Happens Live, Chelsea Clinton said she is no longer in touch with Ivanka Trump because of differences of opinion between them.
“I haven’t spoken to her since 2016 and I have no interest in being her friend,” she said.
“I have no interest in being friends with someone who is not only complicit, but also actively involved in this administration,” added Chelsea Clinton, referring to Donald Trump’s presidency.
According to the daughter of former US President Bill Clinton, the Trump administration indulges in “racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia and conspiracy theories.”
“I don’t want to be friends with someone like that,” she concluded.
