On Thursday before the start of the race weekend in Sochi, Ferrari driver Charles Leclair recalled the stage in Mugello and commented on the achievements of Lewis Hamilton …
Question the Season is difficult for Ferrari, in Mugello the team held the thousandth Grand Prix, which was not the best way. How does it feel to be a Ferrari driver in this situation?
Charles LeclairIt is always great to be a Ferrari driver, especially during a stage on the home circuit. However, the result was not at all what we would like. I had a good qualification, but the race was difficult.
Q: Would you like the Mugello track to remain on the Formula 1 calendar?
Charles Leclair: I like this track. Before the weekend, I was skeptical about the likelihood of overtaking, but in reality everything turned out to be much better. Red flags and incidents made the race even more interesting, but overtaking was easy enough.
Question this weekend Lewis Hamilton can catch up with Michael Schumacher’s record for the number of victories. What do you think of Lewis’s records?
Charles Leclair: Lewis deserves this result. He is incredibly stable and in recent years has always been fighting for the top positions. On the one hand, it is a pity that Michael’s records will be broken, because he occupies a special place in the history of Formula 1 and Ferrari, on the other hand, one can only rejoice for Lewis.
Q: Roman Grosjean said that the riders told Michael Masi their concerns after the restart in Mugello. What exactly do you propose to change?
Charles Leclair: We can only welcome any solution that will prevent the recurrence of such situations.
