The feature film will be an English version of the German film “SMS Fur Dich”, based on the novel of the same name by Sofie Cramer.

At the center of the story is a woman who tragically lost her fiancé and begins texting him on his old phone. However, the phone number was assigned to a man from the same city, who is going through a similar suffering. The two meet and have an indisputable connection, but they do not seem willing to leave the past behind. Celine Dion’s music gives them the courage to try to have a relationship again.

Jim Strouse (“Grace is Gone”, “The Incredible Jessica James”) will direct a screenplay and Lauryn Kahnis will do the final rewrite.

Dion is a Sony Music artist, with albums sold over 200 million copies worldwide. She has performed, among others, the Oscar-winning songs “Beauty and the Beast” (1991) and “My Heart Will Go On” (1997).

Heughan is known for his role in the series “Outlander”. Most recently, he starred in “Bloodshot” with Vin Diesel and “The Spy Who Dumped Me.”

Chopra Jonas will soon be seen in “The White Tiger,” a Netflix adaptation he produced, and in “We Can Be Heroes,” directed by Robert Rodriguez. She is the producer of “Citadel” and “The Matrix 4”.
