The Secretary of Public Health, Josep Maria Argimon, has advanced this Sunday that The Generalitat will ask companies to return to teleworking in the next two weeks, and that university classes are 100% virtual, for the same period.
The incidence of the coronavirus is increasing in recent days in practically the entire Catalan territory and that is why we want to reduce the contagion of cases, which in The last 24 hours have risen to 2,360 infections and 13 deaths.
In an interview this Sunday on RAC 1, Argimon explained the intention of taking more restrictive measures to reduce mobility and contacts among people, due to the forecast that Salut has of empowerment of the pandemic in the coming weeks.
He assures that the situation is controlled in schools, but not so among young people between 20 and 29 years old, that is why Argimon will ask the universities that their classes be 100% virtual -except for the practices- the next 15 days.
Argimon explained that the evolution of the virus in Catalonia is growing more than they expected and that, without measures, in Catalonia the situation in Madrid could be reached “in two or three weeks”.
