Carlos Slim, Mexico’s richest man, is selling his opulent Upper East Side townhouse on Fifth Avenue for $80 million. The 20,000-square-foot Beaux Arts-style building is the largest on the market in New York City, and is located directly across the street from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park. Inside, the property is fitted with eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a grand staircase, a skylight and a terrace and rooftop with views of the park and city skyline. Mr. Slim purchased the home for $44 million in 2010, and it has the potential to be transformed into a gallery, store, museum or foundation. Mr. Slim is worth an estimated $91.7 billion, according to Forbes.
