Calvert-Lewin tops Everton’s top scorer list

(Fulham – Everton 2-3) Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored two when Everton won the wild match against Fulham on Sunday.

40 seconds. It took so long of the match between Fulham and Everton before Dominic Calvert-Lewin put the ball in goal.

Thus, Everton got off to a great start in the innings, which turned out to be an beyond innings. The goal came after Richarlison snatched the ball high in the field and put it low to Calvert-Lewin who ran the ball into goal.

Everton kept the pressure up, but it was the home team that could cheer for the next goal. Tom Cairney found Bobby Reid in front of goal which put in 1-1 after 15 minutes before Everton’s number 9 woke up again.

Lucas Digne came around on the left side and put in Calvert-Lewin who easily put in 2-1 to Everton. Not long after, Everton increased the lead with a header from Abdoulaye Doucouré.

Calvert-Lewin’s two goals mean that the striker now ranks alone on the list of players with the most goals in the Premier League. Before the match, he stood with eight goals, with only Tottenham’s Heung-min Son in front of him with nine goals.

Calvert-Lewin is now the first striker in the Premier League to reach a double-digit number of goals as he now stands with ten goals. That in an impressive nine games.

However, Fulham breathed life into the match again after 70 minutes. First, Ivan Cavaleiro slipped on a penalty kick which was thus not used, but then narrowly replaced Ruben Loftus-Cheek. From close range, he aimed at a low corner, but the ball went into midfielder Yerry Mina and into goal. Thus, it was 2-3 with 20 minutes left in the settlement.

There were no more goals, and that makes Everton climb up to sixth place.
