In the UK, according to the law firm EMW, there has been a 128 per cent peak in the number of new meat substitute brands. Demand for vegan ice creams and pastries, among other things, has increased.
Like other countries, the names of meat substitutes have been hotly debated in Britain and whether they are causing confusion among consumers.
