Lucas Alario put Leverkusen ahead after fifteen minutes by using a penalty. The equalizer was scored in the 51st minute and was credited to Daniel Caligiuri, who cut out Sinkgraven and hit the short corner.
It stayed at that for a long time, but Leverkusen put things in order in the BayArena in time. Alario was completely free after a curving free kick by Nadiem Amiri and beautifully headed the ball into the goal. Deep in injury time, Moussa Diaby made it 3-1.
The 25-year-old Sinkgraven, who makes his debut in the pre-selection of the Dutch national team for the international period in November, participated in the entire match. At Augsburg captain Jeffrey Gouweleeuw completed the ninety minutes.
Bayer Leverkusen is still unbeaten in the Bundesliga, although this is only the second league victory of the season for the Bosz team. Leverkusen came no further than a draw against VfL Wolfsburg, RB Leipzig and VfB Stuttgart.
Due to the victory over Augsburg, Leverkusen is now on nine points, four less than leader RB Leipzig. The Augsburg van Gouweleeuw remains in the middle bracket with seven points.

In Serie A, the top match between AC Milan and AS Roma ended in a spectacular 3-3 draw. Rick Karsdorp started the kick-off with the Romans for his second league game of the season and was replaced in the 66th minute.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened the score in Milan in the second minute after a superb through pass from Rafael Leão, but Edin Dzeko equalized the score twelve minutes later. It turned out to be a precursor to the second half, in which AC Milan lost another lead twice.
Alexis Saelemaekers put AC Milan 2-1 shortly after the break, after which Jordan Veretout shot AS Roma from the spot to the same level. Eight minutes later, Ibrahimovic used an equally debatable penalty and the home team seemed to take the three points, but Marash Kumbulla gave AS Roma a point in the 84th minute.
