In a letter to Murray and Williams Murray Golf, a company owned by the actor and his brothers, rock band lawyer Peter Paterno noted that the actor used the song “Listen to the Music” in commercials for golf shirts called “Zero Hucks Given ”. “However, given that you did not pay to use the track, you may need to change the company name to ‘Zero Bucks Given,'” the letter said.

The lawyer specified that he found out that in other commercials of the actor’s company, music is used without permission, being about songs of another client. “It seems that the only person who uses our customers’ music more without permission than you is Donald Trump,” adds Paterno.

Peter Paterno mentions the copyright law, adding ironically that he does not threaten the actor with “eternal punishment”, because Murray “acquired it with those films with Garfield”. “And you already know that you can’t use music in commercials without paying. We would be almost OK with this situation if the T-shirts weren’t so ugly. But they are. Thus, to quote Jean Paul Sartre, “Au revoir Golfer. And pay, ”concluded Paterno.

Bill Murray and his brothers founded the company in 2017. The williammurraygolf.com website mentions that the brothers grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, where they played golf and were caddies, all of whom were included in the Caddy Hall of Fame.
