Controversial Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios, otherwise known for incidents and excesses that have entertained the public in recent years, has recently turned into a moral vertical that sharply criticizes Novak Djokovic and all players who participated in Djokovic’s tournaments in Belgrade and Zadar.
After hitting Djokovic for days, the Australian also attacked Alexander Zverev, the seventh tennis player in the world, who violated the rules of self-isolation after appearing at Djokovic’s tournaments in Belgrade and Zadar.
Recall, at the tournaments organized by the best tennis player in the world in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, at least five tennis players were infected, and Zverev was in close contact with them. After being negative for coronavirus testing in Zadar, Zverev said he was going into self-isolation for two weeks. However, a week later he was filmed partying with the company.
“A lot of controversial things are happening around the world, but what caught my eye is Sascha Zverev. Again, man, again … How can you be so selfish? How can you be so selfish? When you have the courage to apologize to the fucking public and say yes. you go into self-isolation, then have dignity and stay in isolation. My God … be with a girl for 14 days. That made me angry, this tennis world makes me very angry, “Kyrgios wrote.
This was not to the liking of the legendary Boris Becker, who defended Zverev and called the Australian a snitch.
” Nobody likes snitches. The one who attacks colleagues cannot be my friend. Look in the mirror and think if you are better than us, ” Becker wrote on Twitter.
Kyrgios was even more measured in response than would be expected of him:
” For God’s sake, Boris. This is no competition nor am I trying to get anyone off the bus. We are in the midst of a global pandemic. And if some idiot, like Alex, does what he did, I’ll call him out. It’s simple. ”
