In France, the ballot boxes opened for the second round of the municipal elections on Sunday morning at 8 a.m.
Residents of 4,820 municipalities, including some major cities such as Paris, Lyon and Marseille, can vote. Voters must wear a mouth mask and voting booths are adjusted.
The first round of local elections took place on March 15, a day before President Emmanuel Macron announced severe restrictions from the corona crisis.
The second round was scheduled to take place a week later, but was postponed without a new date being set. That only happened on June 14.
