The actor will make a series in which he will play a spy who travels the world with his daughter, of the same profession.
In September it was announced that Arnold Schwarzenegger would make his leading role on the small screen. The project that still continues without a title was in negotiations to be broadcast by different television networks, but it was finally acquired by Netflix, and will soon begin to develop.
The series that will have chapters of one hour, is an idea of Nick Santora, the same one who was behind Prison Break, and will be produced by Skydance TV (Grace and Frankie). Arnold Schwarzenegger will be the protagonist and also the producer. The deal with the streaming service is still being finalized, but US media assure that it is already a fact.
The plot will follow a father and daughter spies, who travel the world. As the former governor of California has used to viewers, there will be plenty of action. The co-star of this story will be Monica Barbaro, who will also be part of Top Gun: Maverik.
The actor who has a long career in the world of cinema, had only made special appearances in some television productions such as Crypt stories in a chapter that he directed and Two and a half Men. His only full-length experience in that format was in 2017, when he replaced Donald Trump in The newbie. It was a reality show on the NBC network, in which businessmen competed for $ 25,000 and a contract in the Trump empire.
This is not the only project that the actor has underway for the small screen. In 2021 it will launch on Amazon Prime Superhero Kindergarten, an animated children’s series that was one of Stan Lee’s last creations. In addition to producing it, he will voice the protagonist, a gymnastics teacher who will promote physical exercise and give messages to fight bullying.
The Netflix news comes after it was announced that Schwarzenegger was going through a delicate moment of health, since he underwent a heart operation in October. He revealed the intervention through his Twitter and Instagram account in which he published a photo of him on a stretcher.
“Thanks to the team at the Cleveland Clinic I have a new aortic valve to accompany my new pulmonary valve from my last surgery,” he explained about the procedure.
He added: “I feel fantastic and have already been walking the streets of Cleveland, enjoying its incredible statues. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses on my team!”
Star surgery Terminator It happened two years after a pulmonary valve was replaced. That time, when the interpreter was physically preparing to start filming Terminator: Dark Fate, he had a medical check-up and the doctor told him that he had to undergo surgery.
At first, given the proximity of the filming, Arnold refused, but finally agreed when the specialist explained that it would be a non-invasive surgery, so that in a short time he would be ready to continue with his exercise routine. However, there was a complication and what was supposed to be a 4 hour operation turned into a 16 hour one.
