At least three civilians were murdered in the municipality of Tarazá, in the Colombian department of Antioquia (northwest), while two policemen lost their lives in an attack in the municipality of Norosí, in Bolívar, authorities reported.
On the first event, the Antioquia Police confirmed to Efe that he is investigating the massacre of three people in a farm in the municipality of Tarazá, which according to the first versions apparently were the administrator and two employees of the place.
The commander in charge of the Antioquia Police, Colonel Ever Gómez Reyes, added that the three people were killed by a Armed group who arrived in the area where the organization Proceso Social de Garantías denounced “the strong presence of paramilitary structures (gangs)” two days ago.
The organization had also denounced this Thursday that in the sector known as Matecaña, these groups had installed a illegal checkpoint.
“This fact was never attended to by the authorities and by omission this news (the massacre) occurs. We ask the Attorney General for all pertinent actions due to the fact of the omission and failure to heed the recommendations of the early alerts“, claimed the agency.

On the other hand, two policemen were killed in an attack in the municipality of Norosí, in the southern Caribbean department of Bolívar. The National Police it condemned “the barbaric acts” that took the lives of Mayor Robinson Cardona and patrolman Yehison Vásquez “when they were fulfilling their duty.”
The Colombian President, Ivan DuqueHe said that the police officers “were vilely murdered in the line of duty by terrorists who wanted to silence their territorial presence.” The head of state assured that the guerrilla of the National Liberation Army (ELN), which operates in the south of Bolívar, is the alleged person responsible for the double homicide.
