The invitation to the press reads “Hi, Speed”, suggesting that rumors about 5G iPhones are true, as 5G technology allows faster data transmission for activities such as downloading and streaming games and movies.

Apple unveiled at a September event the new Apple Watch Series 6, iPad Air and the 8th generation of iPads, but not a new iPhone model.

The company usually announces new iPhones in September, but had previously warned that this year’s new iPhones would be introduced later, probably due to coronavirus-related production delays.

Apple is expected to announce four new iPhone 12 models this year, including two “regular” iPhone 12 devices and two iPhone 12 Pro models. The new models would have sharper edges around the corners, similar to the new iPad Air and iPad Pro.

The new design will be similar to the 2010 iPhone 4, according to TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Screen sizes include a 5.4-inch model, which could be called the iPhone mini, according to some rumors, two with 6.1-inch screens and a large model with a 6.7-inch screen, said Kuo, who showed that Apple will not include headphones or charger in the box.

Kuo said the new iPhone 12 phones will support 5G networks, although it is unclear whether they will support the fastest 5G mmWave networks or only support slower 5G networks.
