The Carolina Panthers have no plans to serve as extras in 2021. Two days after acquiring quarterback Sam Danold from the New York Jets, they have agreed to sign a contract with corner guard AJ Bouye.
The 29-year-old has never participated in the draft, but started his career as a Houston Texan before joining the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017. The “Assassins” traded the cornerback to the Denver Broncos in 2020, but these people released him from the post-2021 salary cap in order to respect him.
Since the beginning of his career, Bouye has participated in 100 games, including 69 starts. He made 14 interceptions, including a grand slam kickback.
