Too many victims of concussions, the Chicago Blackhawks forward and former Montreal Canadiens member Andrew Shaw announced that he will retire at the age of 29 on Monday morning.
Xiao told ESPN: “I hope people know that I am okay.” My position is very good. But I will miss it, and I will still miss it like crazy.
After making great efforts to make a comeback, Shaw has scored 2 goals and 4 points in 14 games this season. However, he completed all of these in only 14 games and he does not regret it.
“I know I only played 14 games [cette saison], But to go back, when people tell you you should stop, and people doubt you can go back, it’s worth it.
“I took my time and I made sure I felt 100%. Then I scored a few goals in the United Center again and it was worth it. I won’t change at all.”
Xiao is known for his fiery playing style. In 544 national league games against the Canadians and Blackhawks, he scored 116 goals and 247 points, while accumulating 573 free throw minutes.
