Due to the pandemic and the measures taken by the authorities to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, as in many other states, box office revenues have fallen unprecedentedly.

According to the data provided by News.ro by Cinemagia, the film directed by Mark Williams was watched by 728 spectators last weekend and generated revenues of 15,921 lei, a decrease of over 62% compared to the end of the previous week.

Since its debut on the big Romanian screens, five weeks ago, the feature film has grossed over 558,000 lei.

The comedy “A Nightmare Dad / The War with Grandpa”, starring Robert De Niro, climbed two places to the top, up to two, after being watched by 664 viewers on the seventh weekend of the premiere. and generated revenues of 13,729 lei. Since its Romanian debut, the film has revenues of 1.05 million lei.

The animation “Trolls discover the world / Trolls World Tour” remained in third place, after the fourth weekend since its launch, when it was watched by 702 spectators and generated revenues of 13,610 lei. The total generated so far in Romania is approximately 370,000 lei.

The Zoe-Lister-Jones Young Witches’ Club, a sequel to The Craft (1996), dropped two places to four. In the second weekend since the premiere, the film was watched by 493 viewers and generated revenues of 9,408 lei, bringing the total to approximately 60,000 lei.

Christopher Nolan’s thriller “Tenet”, released eight weeks ago, ranked fifth, climbing three places. Last weekend, it was watched by 259 spectators and generated revenues of 5,656 lei. Since its Romanian debut, the film – the most important production launched since the beginning of the pandemic (with a budget of over 200 million dollars) – has revenues of 1.5 million lei.

The Top 10 is complemented by the action movie “Ava”, the live-action feature film “Mulan”, a remake of the Disney animated film, the romantic comedy “The Broken Hearts Gallery”, the animation “Animal Crackers” and the comedy “Made in Italy ”, with revenues less than 5,500 lei.
