Spain climbs positions in the European electromobility rankings and the updating of a charger network that supports the daily use of electric cars is one of the starting points. So, The Spanish capital will have 68 new charging points for this type of vehicle.
This installation is the fruit of an agreement between the energy company EDP and the real estate company Gmp. Thus, in the eight car parks that Gmp has in the city of Madrid, these recharging points will be placed, which will be accessible both to workers in the offices of these buildings and to the general public. Both the electric fleets of companies and private cars will be able to connect to this new network of chargers.
The public access points will be launched in the following car parks:
- In calle Orense, 34: 10 charging points.
- In Countess of Venadito, 1: 7.
- In Luchana, 23: another 7 chargers.
On the other hand, there will be facilities for private use for employees who work in the following buildings owned by Gmp. These will have a mobile application to be able to plug in their vehicles. They will be located in the car parks of:
- Pedro Teixeira, 8: 8 loaders.
- Paseo de la Castellana, 77: 5 charging points.
- Paseo de la Castellana, 81:10.
- Puerto de Somport, 9: other 8.
- Serrano Galvache, 56: a total of 13 chargers.
These connectors for electric vehicles they are added to the almost 1,760 charging points that are available throughout Madrid, according to statistics from Electromaps.
