Full confidence and a new four-year mandate for Albero Barbera, reconfirmed by the Biennale board of directors, director of the Venice Film Festival.
As widely anticipated by rumors of recent weeks, Alberto Barbera was confirmed by the Biennale’s board of directors as director of the cinema section for another four years, after the eight (consecutive) already spent driving the oldest festival in the world. A record, given that in history no director has ever led the exhibition for so many years.
A proforma, or almost, after the brilliant management by him, and by the Biennale in general, of the last edition of the festival, despite the very complex conditions due to the pandemic. A confirmation also of the solid relationship with President Ciccutto who has just concluded his first exhibition.
