Ajax has rejected a bid from Bayern Munich for Sergiño Dest, it reports The Telegraph Thursday. The German club would have offered 15 million euros for the right back.

According to the newspaper, a delegation from Bayern visited Amsterdam on Tuesday to talk with Ajax about a transfer from Dest. The capitals would have wiped out a first offer from the Champions League winner.

Bayern has had a crush on Dest for some time, but the Germans were not yet concrete. The right back can reportedly also count on interest from FC Barcelona, but the Spaniards do not have the best papers to sign him due to financial problems.

Nineteen-year-old Dest is already in talks with Bayern about a contract, according to various media. The American was according to The Telegraph that’s why he was sitting on the bench at Ajax in Sunday’s Eredivisie game with Sparta (0-1), although he came in after Nicolás Tagliafico’s red card.

Ajax would have made an attempt this summer to extend Dest’s contract until mid-2022, but the defender hopes to make a transfer. He has played 36 matches for Ajax so far.

Dest may be the tenth player to leave Ajax this summer. Hakim Ziyech, Donny van de Beek, Joël Veltman, Benjamin van Leer, Kik Pierie, Razvan Marin, Lisandro Magallán, Bruno Varela and Ryan Babel have previously left Amsterdam.
