Vitesse settles in the leading group

ADO Den Haag took the lead at VVV-Venlo after three minutes by a utilized penalty kick from Shaquille Pinas, after the VAR ruled that hands had been made in the Venlo penalty area.

For a long time, the Hagenezen, who lost the first three games in the Eredivisie, could not enjoy the 0-1. The Greek Georgios Giakoumakis scored the equalizer for the home team two minutes later with a nice half bicycle kick. It was his fourth league goal of the season.

ADO Den Haag continued to have the better of the game in de Koel after the 1-1, but the predominance did not lead to really big chances. VVV-Venlo was also unable to break many pots, but it was still 1-2 in the final phase. After header from Vicente Besuijen, David Philipp tapped in from close by.

With three points from the first four matches, ADO is in thirteenth place in the Eredivisie. VVV, which now did not win three games in a row, can be found in tenth place.

Earlier on Saturday, Vitesse won 3-0 against Heracles Almelo. The team of German trainer Thomas Letsch, who chose the same eleven basic players as last weekend in the 2-1 loss against Ajax, dominated the match against Heracles from the start, but that dominance did not result in any chances in the first half hour .

After 34 minutes it was suddenly hit for Vitesse. Matús Bero found Loïs Openda, who placed the ball from close range in the far corner. The goal was offside, but the VAR agreed with the linesman after viewing the images and awarded the goal.

Less than three minutes later, Oussama Darfalou doubled the lead for the Arnhem team. This time Openda was the principal. The Belgian laid the toy neatly wide on the incoming Darfalou, who did not fail for an empty goal.

Trainer Frank Wormuth intervened mercilessly in the half with three changes at the apathetic-looking Heracles, but the adjustments had no effect and Vitesse even ran to 3-0. Riechedly Bazoer gave a high pass over at least 50 meters to Darfalou after 63 minutes, who set the ball for Oussama Tannane. The attacking midfielder shot in with his left against the grain.

With nine points from four games, Vitesse is currently second in the Eredivisie. Heracles has a lesser start to the season and is in the right row with four points from the same number of duels.
