Argentina added this Thursday to its National Health Surveillance System 3,050 deaths from COVID-19 that were pending loading so far, and added to the 302 deaths that occurred in the last 24 hours, the death toll totals 20,288.
The Ministry of Health added in its daily evening report that it added 14,001 new infections of coronavirus and the positives in the southern country since the pandemic began, there are 765,002.
Buenos Aires the most affected
The province of Buenos Aires remains as the district with the most confirmed cases so far (423,084, of which 5,407 were registered this Thursday), followed by the country’s capital, with 126,890 confirmed cases, 924 of them reported today.
The province of Buenos Aires and the city of Buenos Aires went from concentrating more than 90% of new cases in May to have a weight close to 50% due to the strong growth of infections in various parts of the interior of the country.
Argentina has discharged 603,140 patients who have overcome the virus until this Thursday. Meanwhile, 3,799 people with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 are in intensive care units, seven more than the previous day.
The percentage of occupancy of intensive therapy beds for all types of pathologies it is 61.6% nationwide. In Buenos Aires and its populous urban cordon, which make up the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires, the percentage rises to 65.2% of the beds.
The Government last week extended the mandatory isolation measures, with certain flexibilities according to the districts, until next October 11.
