Model Chrissy Teigen, 34, and singer John Legend, 41, recently lost their long-awaited third child to the family. Teigen told the grief news on the first day of October. She shared heartbreaking pictures of the hospital in which she and her husband are holding a dead child.
Teigen has not elaborated on the facts that led to the death of the baby. However, the Daily Mail reported that he had a miscarriage. Teigen has not told how many times to hear she was expecting a baby. If she had already exceeded 22 weeks of gestation or the fetus weighed more than 500 grams, instead of the term miscarriage, the correct term is uterine death or premature birth.
The family has mourned their loss out of public view. However, John Legend returned to the limelight this week. He performed at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards gala on Wednesday.
She was hosted on stage by singer Kelly Clarkson. The presenter reminded the audience of how special the Legend performance would be.
– I want to take a moment to talk about a friend who inspires me every day. Not just as a musician or songwriter but also as a person. John Legend is one of my favorite people on this planet. It’s easy for all of us to feel that way because he and Chrissy have such a warm way of inviting everyone to their own world, its ups and downs, Clarkson said, referring to the family’s grief.
– My heart and, of course, the hearts of all of us are beating to you in these really difficult times. I am grateful that you keep your light shining by and sharing your talents of all of us, Clarkson continued.
John Legend sat behind his piano and sent his greetings from the televised gala home to his wife.
– This is for Chrissy, Legend said before he started interpreting Never Break –their pieces.
Legend is seen in the U.S. as one of the star coaches of The Voice, along with Kelly Clarkson, Gwen Stefan and Blake Shelton. New episodes have already been recorded.
