Not only the Americans and the Japanese know how to make spectacular monster movies, the trailer for Big Octopus proves it, a Chinese movie with a giant octopus, sharks, explosions and action at will.

Raining giants, what a passion! And more generally all monsters, sea, air and land in king size. We are used to seeing this kind of American or Japanese film, but the Chinese are second to none, as the spectacular shows trailer di Big Octopus, where a colossal octopus causes death and destruction. The trailer is subtitled in English by a group of fans and jokes like “soon we will all die” are a welcome variation of the usual and hypocritical “everything will be fine”.

In alcune scene Big Octopus clearly draws on other genre films: there is a scene, for example, that is very reminiscent The Mist of Frank Darabont. And as if that weren’t enough, there are also a mega-shark, action sequences, poorly executed CGI scenes and large doses of humor.

The director of this marvel is called Frank Xiang and in the cast there are, for the record, Mu Liu e Candice Zhao.
