Formula 1 calendar 2021
For the 2021 F1 season, there are 23 Grands Prix. Formula 1 hopes to be able finish this season without any problems. In the last few months, a lot has happened. One example is the cancellation of races in China and Vietnam. They were replaced with Portimao (May 2), and Imola (April 18, 2018). At the end of April, the Canadian Grand Prix was also removed. To ensure that the calendar included 23 races, the French Grand Prix had to be moved forward by one week. Two races were also held on the Austrian Red Bull Ring. The Singapore Grand Prix was cancelled. It was scheduled to be held October 3. This race will be replaced in Turkey by a GP. The Australian Grand Prix was also removed from the calendar. This race has not yet had a replacement.
It is possible that more Grands Prix may be cancelled or moved due to global uncertainty, entry bans, and the threat from new corona viruses. The GP of the Netherlands will still be held on Sunday, 5 September.
