The dramatic incident took place in Chihuahua City, Mexico, on Friday, October 2, 2020. Areline Martínez, 20, with a group of young people, as she has done before, recreated a kidnapping for a clip on her “TikTok” channel – with a bitter outcome.
Areline Martinez was shot in the head
The Mexico News Daily website reported that the mother of one son, one, was hand and foot cuffed. One of the people present was supposed to be pretending to threaten her with a gun and kidnap her when a shot went off and Martínez hit her in the head. The 20-year-old died immediately, it is said. The police are looking for the perpetrators
The police say there were at least ten people on site. Two men escaped from the scene in a Jeep Cherokee. They have been identified, but not yet located, thanks to video material found by the local police. Why a loaded firearm was used for the scene is unclear.
The network mourns the young mother
In her last Instagram post, Areline Martínez wrote the sentence “Time doesn’t stop, neither do I” to a mirror selfie. This includes numerous comments from fans, friends and followers who mourn the Mexican.
